Hello my lovelies, I hope your day is going great and that your heart’s desire is materializing. I am having a superwoman day. I feel like there is a lot to do and I want to do it all right this instant LOL. Anyway on to the matter of the day.
SAOTA Architects in collaboration with OKHA Interiors completed a striking duplex apartment located in the De Waterkant neighborhood, a trendy area in the heart of Cape Town, South Africa. The clients wanted to represent modern, urban Africa and the new scheme displays a strong emphasis on rhythm, geometric forms and graphic elements. Adam Court, partner at OKHA, played with a fusion of modern African graphic and colour to juxtapose the lean, monochromatic interior.
This imposing SAOTA apartment exhibits a minimalist scheme enhanced by a well defined personality: “The interior needed to be a place of calm and serenity, therefore less is more was the rule but still allowing for personal expression and individuality to have its place”, explained the designers. The large terrace is particularly inviting; it is here that the inhabitants can feel the pulse of the neighbourhood, with its dynamic night life bringing together art and fashion.
