Fashion designer Folake Majin is set to unveil “The Royal collection” alongside “The Breathless Experience” Collection by Miss Majin and “The Circle Revolution Collection” by GM4FM’s Gogo Majin

The ‘strictly by invitation’ event will be showcased at the Civic Center on Sunday the 20th of November starting from 6pm.

There are times in life, when it does not matter to you whether or not you are doing the appropriate thing! The only thing that matters to you is that you are doing something, anything! Yet there are times in life when it does not matter to you whether or not you are doing something. The only thing that matters to you during such times is that you are doing the appropriate thing.
In the second case, your spirit is crying out loud! It wants to be freed; so that it can spread and soar up high with the eagles in the sky! You feel like you are going crazy, your heart is growing bigger than the shelf in which it resides… you can’t hold it any more but respond to it and go “crazy”.

That is exactly what you must be if you are to succeed in show business, “CRAZY” Crazy because when you listen to your heart and follow it; you do things that people around you have never seen before, you explore the talent and creativity that you were created with, which is unique to only you! No one seems to understand you; they think you are going nuts, out of your senses, “CRAZY”!
At this point, you get isolated; no one wants to identify with you. You lose friends, scare away some family members and yes, you run broke because it is most likely that you are not earning at this point.
Do not blame the people, who isolate you, it’s not their fault; it’s the might, strength and uniqueness of the things you do that scares them off. It is not yet their turn to be blessed by your “crazy” gift! Do not give up at this point, just get used to the loneliness, isolation and boredom; just keep pushing and listen to your heart, for it can never be wrong!
After the isolation, you start to get some company! This includes likeminded people as well as friends and family, who just feel it’s their obligation to support you; who respect your resolve and steadfastness! But at the same time, you lose some of this company along the way, simply because things are not turning out the way they expected them to!
Don’t give up at this point, keep going with those that are lucky enough to share in your vision! After all, if you choose to lead an orchestra, you must be ready to turn your back on the audience!
Then, comes the final lap and change of strategy. This is a very tricky period; you most probably have burnt all your savings and all the people who give you hand outs, are most likely tired of you! That’s when you must realize that in the journey of success, there are no endings but continuings!
There is no static road; every stage presents itself with new challenges and opportunities! You can’t continue traversing yesterday’s road, in the face of today’s challenges! STRATEGIES MUST CHANGE, YOU MUST BE FLEXIBLE!
Finally, this crazy journey gets even harder as you approach the finishing line! In fact, the closer you get to the finishing line, the harder things get; and this is unfortunately the point at which most people give up! You must push harder at this point for it is more crucial than any other!
You can then enjoy the fruits of your efforts, simply because you allowed yourself to be “CRAZY”; BECAUSE YOU LISTENED TO YOUR HEART AND FOLLOWED IT, BECAUSE YOU DID THINGS THAT OTHER PEOPLE WERE NOT BRAVE ENOUGH TO DO! YOU WERE “CRAZY”!

Carmen Lilly Wright, born 30/10/1992 in London is a singer-songwriter who currently lives in Ireland, part of a family of 7, she has 5 sisters and she lives with her mother and step father.

Music has always been a part of Carmen'slife but she says "Coming from an African upbringing the chances of your parentsletting you do music is like the same kindof chances for any artist breaking intothe industry". But despite the lack of support from her parents, Carmen knew that her passion for music is larger than life, Carmen found her passion for music atsix while she wrote herown songs and she was part of a kidschurch choir, with the kids church choir they performed at summer feasts and festivals; from here she knew this is what she wanted to do when she gets older.

At 14 years old, she started recording in a studio, at the time she recorded with a group called "upstars", she would skip school to go record with the group. At the same time she joined a dance class that was taught by Irelands best dance crew "Raw Edge" from the dance class she joined a dance crew that was called "Immature". They entered the all Irelands Hip Hop Dance Competition where they won and got to represent Ireland in Germany in the All Worlds Hip Hop Dance Competition. Carmen stopped dancing due to her parents decision about her wanting to dance.

At 15 years old, Carmen was spotted by a record label called "Spitfire" where she recorded a track named "Getting Money" alongside Millionaire Boy "Floss" and Label mate Irish Rapper "Slick Bullet". The label that Carmen was part of consisted of "Big Sly, Pezzy and Natural B". The label was short lived after the founder of the label relocated.

In September 2009, Carmen started college where she met music producer "Tunde Esho" with whom she recorded a numerous of songs, and she set up a youtube channel to showcase these songs and a facebook page where the response from the public were good. Later that year Carmen was signed to an independent record label called "Grown Muzik" being under 18 meant she had to wait till she turned 18 to be signed. In 2010 when she turned 18 she was signed alongside then label mate "Natural B", with the label she performed in a numerous shows and she had been writing numerous of songs. But differences arose between Carmen and the Label which meant she had to leave the label, and she now is an independent artist, currently working on her mixtape named "Boys Clothes Girly Stuff" with main producer being "Supermariobros" and various of other producers.

Lagos|Nigeria: It was yet another gathering of fabulous faces, and the crème- de- la- crème within Nigeria’s entertainment industry as Hennessy’s innovative musical platform- Hennessy Artistry ended with class at Rehab last Friday October 28, 2011, Fans mingled with the stars from 11pm to 4am rocking to sounds from Nigerian DJs- Caise, Rex, Xclusive and Neptune.

The red carpet and dance floor attracted notable faces like Big Brother All Stars winner Uti, Sheyman, BB Amplified winner Karen, Denrele, pop icon 2face, Eniola Badmus, Deji Awokoya, and Sam Onyemelukwe. Others include Beat FM OAPs Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi, Fade Ogunro and Jimmy Akinsola (who hosted the show alongside 4star).

And fans were treated to performances from Goldie, Godwon, SDC, David O, Jesse Jagz and Naeto C. Other star performers include MI, Eldee, and Banky W.

They all took turns taking guest through their repertoire of hits, after which the headliners finished the show with the Hennessy Artistry theme song “Toast to the good life”

The top comedian has just launched his own record, which he calls Premiere Music. AY explained why he went into the music business to an Encomium reporter.

A lot of young music artists kept coming to my office with their demo CDs. In fact, I have over 1,000 CDs from different artists in my office. An upcoming artist will say 'Bros, we appreciate what you are doing for comedians, we want to see what you can do for us too.' But I kept telling them I'm not into music, repeatedly. It got to a stage that I began to ask myself, what is wrong in trying to see what we can do, since the people believe so much in me. That was how I came about Premiere Music.

He used to listen to soul albums, but eventually, Dammy began to show interest in the hip-hop scene. Dammy taught himself to sing and dance at a young age. The young talented dude who was dug out of the ghetto Agege is set to storm the yard with is promising track "Go Down Low", "Like Dis", "Tell Me". His influences are pop masters Michael Jackson and Usher Raymond. He has been able to display his talent in churches, pageantry and local show and event in Nigeria. In is bid to get to stardom this year he is launching his music label: More Money Entertainment.

There is a new breed of rappers who just hit the scene Afolabi Segun A.K.A. "Prolific" & Victor Francis Fakoyejo A.K.A. Victizy Slevin with a unique hip/hop style from western Nigeria prolific hailing from oyo state and Victizy Slevin from Osun state Nigerian. they've bin friends from way back, both meet when they were seven showing their love for word play and good music at a young age. they are both good lyricists that make a point when it come to writing and rapping with good delivery with a lot of western influences.

Just this July the released their first track titled "oh oh" Produced by James Baum (Red Room Studio) And Aplus. Also they formed the group "V.I.C.E (Mad & Insane)" with members including Maurice Obamudi A.K. O'neezy from Edo state Nigeria and Emmanuel Itanyi A.K.A. Yung Emmy from Kogi state Nigeria . here is a new track officially by the group titled "Rhyme effect" with a huge western influence. Definitely this is a group to be looked out for . They are Mad & Insane.
